MANAGEMENT STRATEGY DUMAI CITY SUSTAINABLE TOURISM FOREST

The Dumai City Tourism Forest is a complex system, there are many components that influence each other and have a causal relationship. As a first step, to provide a comprehensive picture of the interaction of important factors that affect the existence of the Dumai City Tourism Forest , a systems approach is needed to simplify the component. Thus, a sustainable Dumai City Forest management strategy is needed . This study is a qualitative study with a multidimensional scaling (MDS) and prospective approach. The results showed that the management of the Dumai City Tourism Forest had not been implemented optimally. The level of sustainability of Dumai City Tourism Forest management is currently in the category of less sustainable status. Likewise with the 4 parameters of the sustainability dimension, each dimension is included in the category of less sustainable status. A number of attributes that are considered sensitive (leverage attribute) for the sustainability of Dumai City Tourism Forest management are in the ecological dimension there are 3 attributes, the economic dimension is 4 attributes, the social dimension is 5 attributes, and the governance dimension is 4 attributes. The scenario for the sustainability of the Dumai City Tourism Forest management shows that all dimensions achieve sustainable values in the maximum scenario. The ecological, economic, social, and governance dimensions have increased significantly from current conditions.
