This study was conducted to investigate different sources of Iraq soil for the existence of Streptomyces species, 134 isolates were collected from 35 soil samples collected from several province in Iraq, including Tikrit, Kirkuk, Diyala, Baghdad, Anbar, Mosul, Erbil and Diyala during the period from the first of December 2019 until the end of March 2020. The 38 isolates that is showed a difference in phenotypic characteristics on the primary isolate media were selected for Molecular identification, All thirty-eight isolates bacterial samples were given a positive PCR product result for 16srRNA gene amplification and the comparison of the results of the sequences analysis of the 16srRNA gene of the obtained isolated with the strains at the National Center for Biotechnology Information NCBI, using (BLAST) program, showed high similarity rates for the species of the genus Streptomyces, which ranged between (99-100)%. All these isolates as Iraqi detection have been submitted to NCBI then accepted as thirty-eight Iraqi strains were in NCBI.
